My primary goal when I started Mindful Runner was to create a movement that focused on helping people live long and healthy lives.

Like many before me a day came when I didn’t like the creature I saw in the mirror. Fifteen years of career and family focus had put 40 kg(88 lbs) onto my body. I had bags under my eyes, I couldn’t walk up a flight of stairs without having to stop to breath, I still considered myself an athletic person. I had been strong and active during high school and my years in the military. The final wake up call came when I tried to show my 8 year old son how to do a cartwheel on the sand. I flipped onto my hands on the beach and crashed onto my face, I thought my wrists had been broken.

So began a journey that continues to this day. Along the way I went from being unable to walk up a flight of stairs to running 100 mile races, surfing, paddling white water, rock climbing, meditating and pursuing a lifestyle of Mindful participation in my life and the world.

20 years on and my life is filled to the brim with being alive. I am fitter now than I have ever been , weighing 35 kg less than I did on that fateful day when I face planted in the sand. I am stronger, faster, more mobile than that tired used up 38 year old version of myself. Even better than my good health is that my life has real purpose now. I wake up every day excited for what lies ahead.

It took me a lot of trial and error, you don’t have to make the mistakes I did. Let me guide you through the process and give you the knowledge that it’s taken 20 years to gather.

With our Lifestyle Coaching program you do an initial 4 month program after which you move to monthly coaching.

How it works

We meet online for an in depth discussion of your current lifestyle. You complete the  initial health assessment and then we design your unique program for you.  Weekly check-ins and follow ups with your coaches will keep you accountable to the process.

Our team creates a holistic Lifestyle program to suit you. Each program includes

  1. Fitness Plan
  2. Strength Plan
  3. Nutritional Plan
  4. Lifestyle Plan 
  5. All delivered to you via email and an online app
  6. Weekly online Check-in with your coach
