Mountain Running Camp – Central Drakensberg – October 2021
October 29/30/31- Central Drakensberg
Day 1 is extreme and not suitable for all runners. The route will test you, your gear, your nutrition and your mindset. Day 2 and Day 3 are suited to all level of runner.
Cathedral Peak Hotel to Monks Cowl. This is a stunning high altitude day where you will be above the clouds for much of the run. It’s 56 km of pristine mountain running. This is a real test of character with much of the run above 3200 m ASL.
The run is Monks Cowl to Injisuthi via Shada Ridge and back again. 38 km of sublime ridge line running.
Sterkhorn assault day. This is a day to test the legs with one of the best ‘short’ climbs in the Drakensberg.
This camp is a great mix of mountain running. Extreme on day 1 and easier on Day 2 and Day 3. The focus on this camp is to test yourself. The learning is in the experience and we guarantee that you will learn a lot about yourself if you run all three days.
This is a wonderful training opportunity for those who are looking to up their physical and mental game.
The camp is perfectly suited for those who are preparing for Skyrun and UTCT.
